The Last Summer Entry.
So let's recap everything that's happened this summer.
- Let's begin with the
food-allergy accident with Lauber. Ate the "Five-Cheese Mac and Cheese"
at Noodles & Co. (119th & Blackbob) in an unsanitary bowl that had shrimp residue in
it (grotesque). Turns out that kitchens nowadays don't believe in shellfish allergies. That was nasty, sent me to the hospital.
+ Moved everything out of the
duplex on time, bills are paid and on my semi-maxed credit card. Holla
for the establishment of credit.
+ Living with the Piekens this summer and that has been fun... these kids are amazing.
+ Got accepted to study abroad at King's College in Cambridge, England, for the spring 2006 semester.
-/+ Summer workstudy at Baker: Music Librarian (aka music b****)
- Completely totaled my car in Lawrence. That's right folks, the 'ol VIOLIN is no more... but wait --
+ Got a new car: 2005 Hyundai
Elantra, hatchback. Drove it off the lot with only six miles on it (Friday, July 22nd).
Yes, holla for 26/32 residential/interstate mileage, too.
- Back to that semi-maxed credit card. Paying steadily and on time, but bills just... suck.
+ My hair is finally growing
out. I just don't know what to do in that department. I mean, I don't
want to go back to the same old curly me, but short and spicy is not
what I want either. I think I'd settle for a mild-picante (Kroeger brand).
- Haven't been able to call/write/e-mail/hang-out much with my friends this summer AT ALL which makes me NOT VERY HAPPY.
-/+ Taking a Gen. Pysch class
at JCCC. Glad to get it over with, but it rips because it's televised.
Which reminds me, I need to ask Bob Davis how his 'online running'
course is going at JCCC.
+ Going to Orlando, FL, for a week (July 31st-Aug 6th) courtesy of someone else's time share property. CAN I GET A 'WHAT WHAT'?
+ I got Andrew Brookens and Scott Driver jobs at New Theatre; honestly,
those two boys there make me look forward to work. HOLLA FOR MY TWO SIG
EP BOYS.
+ Moving into the ZTA house Sunday, Aug. 7 (the day after I get back from FL).
- My best friend is moving away (ymbf, l).

| so it's been a while... wow, i can't believe i have grown to neglect
something that once was so dear to me... and by that i mean many
things, one of which yes, is xanga.
i have been thinking on this for a while and... i am going to be
spicing up the xanga here very soon; completely new layout, maybe take
the picture scroller off, take the subscription list apart and re-work
it, change the color scheme... etc.
well, that is, when i get some more time. :) for anyone who is reading
this and thinking, "yes, what IS elizabeth tucker doing this summer?"
-- well, let me tell you: working full-time at the New Theatre as a
server (every single night except monday when it is closed, double on
wednesday and a double on sunday), taking a course at JCCC, possible
teaching gig at theatre of the imagination in overland park directing
musical camp, and... that's about it.
oh, and living at the pieken's and doing a lot of nanny-stuff with the
two most adorable kids in the entire world, norah and joe.
so it's after 1:00a, studying for a JCCC pysch. course and i'm about to
hit the sack. there's the monthly bulletin. JUST KIDDING... i'll write
again soon.
(and i promise it will be witty next time).

So it's official... finals week.
What better timing than for FACEBOOK to hit Baker only 11 days ago. Everyone is addicted, and complaining about how much time it's taking away from their studies.
So what are you doing still sitting here and staring at my xanga, check it out: www.thefacebook.com
Well, that's about all I got right now. I'll do another entry after the last of my finals finish up (Thurs afternoon). Current plans: move out of the duplex, move into the Pieken's for the summer, work my butt off full-time at New Theatre, and then take 9 cr. hours at JCCC.
Hoo-haw. | | |

So I just needed some time to think.
|
So I just feel like my heart is broken -- the person closest to me pretty much says he can't do this anymore. Wow, and to think I was upset before... now it's like I can't even talk, or even want to hear myself out loud.
How hesitant I was to let people in at all, and how I just want to shut everyone out again.
I can't sleep, I can't stop crying. The past four hours have yielded one of my biggest anxiety-attacks and I'm proud to say that even Xanax hasn't slowed this one down. Me, thinking I was alone before -- that's a joke compared to right now.
You know what's a joke -- this post; I'm done with xanga for a while.
